Do you know what is REALLY screwed up with that amount? You say you could pay $10K if he continued child support, $7K max if he didn't, but we KNOW he is paying more than $3K a year in child support, so you would be KEEPING some of the child support and not using it to pay for the college.
You said the child support could be CUT by $185 a week, so it is AT LEAST $185 a week. That is $10K a year in child support.
Do you SEE that you offer to pay to the college what DAD is giving you in child support, and NO MORE, is not really YOU paying?
What you SHOULD be saying is, "Okay, I am getting $10K a year in child support. If the child support STOPS, I can pay $6K to $7K, if it continues, $16K to $17K."
