I have a question...need some help

I have been divorced 3 years now. EX has been on unemployment, jail, not around bla bla bla. He now has a job of 10 months. I have agreed when he was on unemployment to change the support order w/CS so...that has reduced it by $700 a month for 2 teenage boys. I am filing a letter now that he is employed for the CS review, can I get the back/difference in CS for the past year that it was not the full amount and if so how do I word it in the letter??
