After reading more of your posts, I stand by what I said earlier. I don't know if you are going to be facing more court time because of mom, but if she is anything like my ex (and it sounds like she is), she may complain and do everything in her power to make you miserable. She probably won't see that you are moving to make a more stable life for your family. She will likely see it as you are doing this to spite her, and to make her life more miserable. I also don't believe you "lied" to the courts, nor omitted facts, because as you said, you didn't know yet.
Something that has often worked for my ex and I is to meet in the middle. You might want to scout the route between the two homes and see what might be a convenient drop off point somewhere near the middle. Of course if you are doing exchanges at a police station, I am not sure how that will work. I am sorry that there are posters here that feel the need to attack you. It sounds like you are trying to make a stable life for all of you, and where you are moving to sounds wonderful. I also hope that for the children's sake, your husband and his ex can make this work for the kids, rather than fight bitterly about it.
Best of luck with the building, it can be a nightmare (from what I am told, have always bought).
