But one elects to not necessarily BE part of that choice by either a) having children and not being married or b) having children married and then divorcing.
It's completely unreasonable to expect that people no longer married (or never married) are going to make every life decision they have to make considering the person they never married or are no longer married to. It's NICE if you can; however, it's not a requirement.
I used to think differently; however, i live in the real world and it's just not feasible to do this. If people CAN and it works for them? That's great. Look, I like my ex, I actually still care a great deal for my ex, I want him to be dd's father, yadda yadda BUT.. at the end of the day? I have to support my child, put a roof over her head, etc so forth and well, he's just not going to have an input into how **I** do those things.
And again, that's a risk you take having kids. My schedule is often disrupted b/c ex has to do this that or the other b/c of the other kid. I may not like it necessarily, it may be inconvenient, but in the grand scheme of things it's pretty unimportant and again, I knew he had other kids, and we're divorced. it's part of the package now.
I'm big into this with dd. This is what it is. You're a kid with divorced parents. Get over it. People get way too worked up about really insignificant things.
