I called the cousin that she gets along with and was there. He confirmed her story plus the "rumors" that have gone on behind her back. Apparently, it started as a joke on Saturday and through the night while camping. Then on Sunday is when Grandmother said "are you a lesbian" and went on about her friends, about how god doesnt approve of it (grandmother is catholic), her clothes, how she acts blah blah. Then the others started in on her. She became very upset as one of her friends is lesbian and had choice words for them. The cousin tried to defend her and finally just took her somewhere else and that is when she called me.

He told me that she told him "I cant deal with this sh!t anymore, if I just died, they would be happy". MMMHMMM Now I am so beyond pissed that I cant even see straight. We just returned from the crisis center. I was very worried about what she said to her cousin and I wanted to be on the safe side. The crisis manager told her that it needed to be addressed. She now feels comfortable with me talking to grandmother. Which is NOT going to happen tonight. My steel toed boot may be up where the sun dont shine if I deal with it now. So, I will calm down and talk to the grandmother tomorrow...maybe.

I didnt NEED to know everything at the time. My daughter was upset...about something. That is all I needed to know and I took her out of the situation. When I picked her up, no one asked why she was leaving. No one said a word to me. She got her bags and we left. Probably best.
