"Why does this 'one group of people' have it out for her so badly?" - I have never understood them. They (ex's family) were extremely upset when she made the decision to live with me. We had 50/50 prior to this decision. In my daughters letter to the judge requesting to live with me, she made it clear of some physical abuse that was from that side of the family. They found out about the letter and that is when all hell broke loose. My ex, his wife and I are on the same page...now. NOT then. That person is in jail...no longer a threat to my daughter.

"why would you even allow her to go over there even if she is comfortable with it?" - As I said previously, for a few months there has been no issues. Never an issue with grandmother. In fact, grandmother and my daughter were very close. Grandmother had defended her last year from other family members. If I would have known that grandmother was going to treat my daughter this way...she wouldnt have gone. It was just as much as a shock to my ex that his mother did this...not to mention that others that participated. My ex and I felt that the hostility had died down. These family members have had contact with my daughter within the past few months and nothing has happened. So, I dont think we could have possibly have known that this was going to happen.

My daughter loves her family, her father and I have stressed the importance of family with our children. And she still loves her family, she has such a great heart!

"OR is she playing on your pity over this 'one group of people'?" - After dealing with it for 2 days, I do not feel that she was playing on my pity...at all. I feel that she stood up for her self, stuck it out and when it was just too much, she asked for help. I am proud of her. She didnt just run away when the going got tough.
