I lived with a horder too, and it sounds like that is what you are dealing with. Despite it being a medical condition (or so say my friendly shrink friends), most refuse to admit they have a problem.

It can get better, they can dig out, but they probably can never be cured. I left - I couldn't deal with it anymore.

You may want to look at the book "Digging Out" - it helped me get some perspective.

Maybe you two just can't live together but can still have a happy although unconventional marriage?
