Re: Very disturbing issue with my teenage son

To answer: Im not looking for income. My son has about $200 in medical bills every month that the EX refuses to help with, even tho she is court ordered to. Our original arrangement was that my DD lived with her and my DS lived with me. I still ended up paying child support, but it was somewhat reduced. When CS payments were terminated thru the court, she threw my DD out to live with me. I have had to accept all the responsibility of college, an automobile, etc for her, which of course I do gladly.
Now that its HER turn to participate financially, you would think I had asked for her left lung. Ultimately, its unfair to my son, who is having a lot of struggles with his own behavior, much less having a guilt trip layered on.
I was awarded custody of my son because of abuse, not because he wanted to "go live with daddy". Now in this perfect storm of him running from his behavior and my rules (defiance), and having now asked her for CS, she's coaxed him to come and live with her.
I didn't understand that I could have the DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY and him still live with her. And you are right, this age 17 garbage in SC has got to end. Its basically a free-for-all at this age, they can do whatever they wish.
I just wish this would all go away. Im tired, and tired of having done the right thing, only to get dumped on in the end.
Thanks
