To update everyone on this. My son will be attending an INTAKE hearing tomorrow (Tues) regarding this. I have spoken to the fellow in charge of making recommendations to the court. He has agreed to make a recommendation that my son attend the National Guard Youth Challenge program; a nationwide program that addressed at-risk youth. Its a 5 month residential program. The program was my choosing, and the gentleman at the court stated they have referred many young people to it and with good success.
I am naturally sad about this, but I know in the long run it just might save his life. He's going to hate me.
