the insurance is to "insure" in the off chance of your passing that the "child support" continues - so as long as you have it at the proper amount and it she is to get it then you are ok.

my hubby did not keep the insurance - we were afraid she would off him for it - it was never brought up as a contempt so we skated by on that - he ended up with custody later on so it became a moot point
