Thank your lucky stars you are not in Colorado. You could be looking at LIFETIME alimony for a 10 year marriage here.

$500 a month for two years in your situation? There would be thousands standing in line here for that deal.

Don't forget that the $500/mo is tax deductible to you, so given your tax bracket the hit to your actual income will be smaller.
