My husband and I filed jointly for divorce in CO. I filed temporary orders in October and he didn't show up. Judge awarded me full amount - which worked in my favor. Final court hearing is next week - he still hasn't completed paperwork - I don't know if he'll even show up. Can the judge grant a final divorce with child support/alimony if one party doesn't show? Any advice?
Well, if he's not going to provide his information, you can provide it for him. Namely, tax returns and W-2 forms. Do you have copies of those for the last 3 years? If so, submit that to show his earning history. If not and if they were joint, contact the IRS and get certified copies. Work around him if he won't co-operate.
