I don't think i would mind the barking. I really miss it. Every time the door bell rings (or a car door slams...) my mind still mentally waits for the barking until I remember she is gone. My male never barks. Even the UPS guy can deliver things in silence. He just stands on the landing and gives warning glares when he hears things. Not that I am wanting an incessant barker, but I don't think barking would bother me. Gives DH enough time to lock n load. :)
