I would answer that it is extremely difficult NOT to. The fact is - there is a huge push to make sure everyone graduates and they've lowered the standards so much that almost any kid can graduate early if they want to. My cousin is considering just to get away from the "mean girls" atmosphere in HS. With online school you remove the biggest obstacle - scheduling. School set up their class schedules on the 4year plan and frequently make it impossible to double up by only offering 1 section at the same time as something else all kids at another level have to take that year e.g. the one section of freshman bio is offered at the same time as the 1 section of sophomore chemistry.
