If we started a lawsuit against a Doctor before...

We separated and filed for Divorce, Am I entitled to any of it? My STBX and this summer filed a lawsuit against a doctor for causing a life long altering mistake, that should have been displayed to us as a possibility. Well STBX now is telling everyone that he is getting this huge settlement that will take care of him for a long time. We started it when we were together, his name was the only one it due to his was the patient. I live in COlorado ....

Anyone ahave any ideas??
