Would I really have gone to jail? Could I still?

Ex-h told me that if I hadn't gone along with what he wanted in the divorce his attorney was all prepared to make it a criminal trial and not even custody/divorce. I did lie in court (said I didn't know about something that I did about his past), wrong, yes. I know it was wrong. Apparently he has me on tape saying I lied. Plus is willing to drag his whole family on the stand saying that I lied and that i did know about it. Says he's willing to pull in my past relationships (I had a really bad one where the guy stole most of my belongings) ... would that really matter as to my character? I'm so afraid he's still going to act on these things that he says he's going to act on. He says his lawyer is still retained (says he had about $500 left since we never went to trial). Says in the blink of an eye he could ruin my life. . afterall I ruined his, why not ruin mine.
