I am almost 19 and am going through a divorce with my mom and dad and I wish my mom could understand this:

Yes, I am 18, but I still need parents. She thinks that I should be on my own completely and deal with this that way she is. She hardly comes home anymore and doesn't even live with us (my brother and I, which is what I originally wanted since my father is an alcoholic.)

I just am so hurt by her actions and don't even know what to feel or think anymore.

Thanks for your story and what you said, it makes so much sense.
