What I wish she knew

I'm new to this forum and have really appreciated reading some of your posts. I can identify with many of them! I'm the SM to two boys ages 9&10. My DH and I are teaching a class for stepfamilies and I'm doing a little research to give me a bit more insight. I'm looking for a response from both BMs and SMs to the statement "What I wish she knew" "she" being the other woman ("mom") in your bio or step child's life. The response can by anywhere from a single statement to a full letter and sent to lettersbymoms@hotmail.com or posted (for shorter responses). Please note that your responses may be shared (anonymously of course).

Biomoms...not having any biochildren of my own I could really use your input. I have not had much opportunity to talk with biomoms whose children are in a stepfamily. I would really appreciate your help.

Stepmoms...I have found that writing out the things I wish BM knew has been very therapeutic -and hearing from other SMs has made me realize I'm not crazy! I'd love to hear from you.
