My ex moved to Ohio about a year and a half after we separated and has now filed for divorce in that state. I received a copy of complaint in the mail and a court order requiring me to turn over a list of assets, tax returns, bank statements etc. She is also seeking spousal support and money. We were married in Tn. and spent out entire marriage here. What legal rights do I have? Do I have to fight this there by that states laws and hire counsel there? I initiated a divorce against her here in Tn. over a year ago and sent her papers with a marital dissolution agreement but hit a snag and we never settled. I had not filed a complaint in the courts thinking we were reaching an agreement. Do I have leg to stand on here? Does the state of Ohio have the authority to grant her what she's asking. I do not see how I can fight this long distance finacially. Thanks!
