anyone know anything about property laws in a commonewealth state? daughter has new b/f..he has a house in washington dc that he has shared over a year with old g/f..he bought house before he met old g/f..she refuses to move out..says she doesnt have too because of the laws in virginia..i didnt think this sounds right..if she doesnt own the home..and he has given her 30 days notice she should be out..he has the home for sell..it hasnt sold..he is thinking of selling the deed back to the bank..wouldnt that ruin his credit?..the old g/f told him that because of the laws there that she is entitled to part of the house sell because she lives with him..that is the law there..sounds odd to me...
