Not only divorce...

Hi everyone -- have a hard time with this new format. For some reason, it seems more impersonal. Anybody else feel that way? Anyway, I have a question for anyone that is interested -- more and more the realization that the divorce, being the most devastating "thing" that has happened to me personally (for its long acting and far-reaching effects), has also opened the can of worms which I now view as my life. Perhaps it is (actually, certainly it is!) also the fact that I'm approaching the mid-50s and this would naturally be a time in one's life to sit back and reflect on many things -- the fact that your children have "left the nest" and are now experiencing life on their own, who your friends are and who are the people who left your life for one reason or another and where you are (or are not) in the workplace. For me, all my worlds collide --anyone watch Seinfield -- where George was concerned that relationship George and friend George started to merge? -- and the collision is, as all collisions tend to be, a bad one. Anyway, awfully reflective of how everything seems to have fallen apart in a very short time span and wonder how I will pick up any pieces or whether I really have to start almost completely anew since none of the "old" ways of my thinking or my life even apply right now. Anyone else have that eerie sense? Hope all is well with all of you. Take care, bacall
