trying to end child support

I am looking for some advice. My husband is paying child support for his son who is now 25 and getting married in June. The courts have garnished his paychecks for the last 8 years. We helped pay for his college education the best we could. We have done everything to the best we can. We no longer think it is appropriate to pay child support for a grown man that is on the brink of starting his own family. How do we get the courts to stopping garnishing the wages? The past is the past and we all need to move on. My husband's son's mother won't let it go even though she has been remarried for years and years. She does not suffer one bit, we do. At what point will the courts forgive a past child support balance. Last night we added it up and will take us 25 years and 660.00 to pay her off. Help and I am desperate
