Womens rights in Indiana-HELP!

I have been married to a mad man for 15 years. We have three children and reside in Indiana.
I was a stay at home mother for 10 years.
Dec. of 2006, I graduated from a tech. school with a tech. degree.
I have not been actively looking for employment because I had surgery in May and I also have to take and pass a Radiology State Board test.
My husband keeps me under his thumb. He refuses to pay for me to take this test.
He also accuses me endlessly of having affairs.
I do not have access to ANY funds at all. He keeps all money for himself. We do not even have any money in savings.

We filed bankruptcy 18 months ago. This is the second time.
He lies to me continuesly about our finances.

I need a divorce.
My questions are:
What are my rights as an unemployed mother?

Will my husband be required to help me financially until I find a job?

Will I have an type of benefits such as medical insurance during and after the divorce?

We do not own our home, we are renters. Will I be able to keep the apartment?

I could wait until I take the test and find a job, but that could be months or up to a year. I don't think I can wait that long. I am getting desperate here.

I went to a lawyer about 2 years ago and he advised me that I have relatively no rights and no access for financial help from my husband once the divorce is filed and final.

Surely this is not true!

Any help will be much appreciated.
