Bankrupt

I'm currently failing in my mediation with my spouse because she won't agree to anything that won't make me broke and put me in debt on top of it. She's drained me dry up to now already and I have to claim bankruptcy because I can't pay my mortgage or bills as it is.
She says that she can bring me to divorce court and the judge can make me pay for her legal fees. But if I claim bankruptcy, I won't have any money.
I can get a hold of 56,000 to give her. Never mind how I can get it. It's legal. However, she wants 85,000. I can give her the 56,000 and pay the rest in alimony, but she won't take t he income tax hit. What would a judge say about this? I think I'm neing a reasonable guy, but I've been pushed to the limit.
BTW - We have a five year marriage with no kods. The only reason she's doing this is because a family asset was in my name before we got married, and I had the asset in my name until a few months ago, when I had to transfer the asset back into my father's name for no reason having to do with the divorce. SO she's hanging that over my head.
What the hell am I going to do?
