Attending the final court date???

After 22 years my marriage will be ending on August 22nd. We have an agreement that has been signed, and everything has been good so far. We worked through 1 lawyer (though he was representing her as that is the law in Illinois). On the date that the judgement will be given, I have been told that I do not need to be present...and I would rather not for many reasons...but if I am not there is there a risk that something could be changed, I need to answer questions...or ???
