filing out of state divorce

I am looking to get out of an abusive marriage(emotional abuse only) My question is can I move out of state to my home state and still file for divorce from my husband? We have been married 15 years. I am a SAHM with no job and limited access to transportation and communication(phone,internet ect..)Husband doesnt like me talking to friends and faimly who are 500 miles away.I don't want to be here when divorce papers are served.Any suggestions?
