Good Morning, This is the first time I have used this forum, altho have been here many times. One paticular post from googledad caught my eye. I live in the state of MI, I left my husband of 24 years this summer, wanting only some time away to clear my head. He got very angry and filed for divorce, I in turn defaulted ( don't ask me why ) just didn't know the law. I came home 2 months later ( we had been in daily contact ) After consulting a lawyer,I definatly decided I wanted to work on the marriage. We have no children, but we run 3 business together. I thought we were going to reconsile and leave things at staus quo. He saw his lawyer Monday and is not going thru with the divorce but wants a post nuptial agreement regarding the business, He wants to take my name off of the business, and in the event of his death it would be returned to me. This is happening because of money I have spent without his permission during the course of our marriage ( well the last 8 years ) and he is trying to protect his interest. I have no problem with this. I am now considered his employee, will continue to work with him and continue to be married to him. Ok sorry long story short. Google dad posted the criteria of a post nupital agrrement to the division of assets in the event of a divorce. My question is Has anyone else been thru this?, should I have another lawyer look at it before I sign?, what are my legal rights now ( am in default ) Confused
