custody after being covicted of assualt

my wife was convicted recently of assualt on me while the kids were in the house, I have temp custody now for 7 months and a no contact order against her, I am in the family home. My question is.. would a GAL still reccomend custody for her after all this time or suggest 50/50 custody?
