Brother, my heart goes out to you. I am in a similar situation with my STBX. She is doing all she can to cut me out of my 3 yr old daughter's life, and even worse she is trying to convice my daughter that her boyfriend(also married himself) is her "New daddy". Even with a very good(and very expensive) lawyer, fighting for my rights as a father and my daghters rights is a long, frustrating and very painful process, and I can relate with your statement about losing your mind. My best advice to you is to be the best father you can possibly be, no matter what. And that does NOT mean laying down and playing dead for the mother. Unfortunately, a lot of times, it means you have to fight. It sounds like you are doing good things, and getting good advice from others here on this board. Keep the faith, and remember, your daughter is worth it. NEVER GIVE UP.
One last thought, about your question as to why the mother would be wanting to push you away from your daughter, what was her relationship with her own father like? Not saying that this is the answer, but in my situation, her dad laid down & let her mom get away with everything, never really did much as a dad, and it's obvious that that is what she is expecting me to do. Not this dad, not ever.
