My STBX has accused me of abusing him and our daughter 10 years ago, this did not occur, but that is not to say there wasn't alot of tension in the marriage. One thing I have not disclosed however to my attorney, is my STBX beating me in the past. At the time (8 yrs ago)I took my bruises and concerns about this to a Catholic priest, who suggested a marriage counselor. Well here we are and I am wondering if I should disclose this, up until now I have not because the cause of the breakup was a buildup of everything, that being one thing. But I feel unfairly accused, and I can document everything about my STBX abusing me. Here is my question, would you use this information to your benefit if you had it? Would it influence a custody battle?
