URGENT stepson called police from bathroom....

My stepson has had to endure more than an 11 year old should have to. His mom just got re-married and he said they are fighting daily, his mom has borderline personality disorder and is not in treatment. In feb she had to have the police called on her because she was suicidal. She told me from her own lips she thinks of cutting herself and showed me scratches on her arms. Tonight he called his dad and was crying and scared because they were fighting. He had to go into the bathroom and lock the door so he could talk to his dad. He then called the police after his mom was yelling and cussing at him. The police had my husband go and get his son. When my stepson reentered the house to get his baseball pants she said "get out of my house".

He said he is scared and doesn't want to go back. He said he has seen his mom lung and grab the throat of his stepdad. He has had to be late to school and watch his 3 month old baby brother so his stepdad could sleep. He said he loves his mom and is scared for her to get introuble, but he doesn't like being there.

We are going to try and get an exparte child protection order tomorrow... do you think we can? Also we will proably be fighting for custody of him as well, right now we just have visitation. ANy info or helps you all could give would be greatly appreciated!

The big thing is we don't know if we have enough to get the protection order. We don't want him going back in that abusive environment. His mom is the classic emotional abuser. She rips him to pieces and then lavishes him with gifts and words that mean nothing until he seems "happy", then when things get tense she goes back to emotionally abusing him... we just want him to have some time to really have a little peace in his life.

please help.. and soon.. we are leaving tomorrow morning to go and try and get the exparte.
