Avoiding Student Loan Debt

After the house sold, my eldest dropped out of college. The tuition debt is like $40,000. I was the co-signer for the loan. The bank doesn't know yet that my son dropped out, he can't pay it back, he has no job, so all the debt is on me...the X won't help to pay it off. Can I get a court order to make her help out?
