filing status

my stbx wife and i lived in are house january through march i left april and may i paid her support she paid mortgage, i returned and she left i paid june through december mortgage and the kids lived with me she paid no cs. as of today divorice is not finale
my qustion:> what would be my best legal filing status and what should/could i claim excemtions,credits etc ?
