Virgina Divorce Law - Anyway Around 1 Year Separat

If I have kids and want to divorce in VA law, is there anyway around the one year separation? Can we live in the same house and be separated if we have different bedrooms? If we havent had sex since December, can that start the clock even if we live in same house?
