Dog question...

As some of you may know I have two Welsh Corgi pups... They are both now neutered and there hasn't been one marking issue since! YAY!!

My question is one dog seems to have some issues with anxiety especially when concerning loud (usually high pitched) noises. He will run TO (not away from) where ever the noise came from and start barking uncontrollably. We have tried calming him with words and getting him to settle down but that doesn't work. If it is your shoe that has made the noise he will go after it. Yes, really.

So I looked into some calming collars, sprays and treats. I have also brought a behavioralist into my home because of this. Having two male dogs is a hard pairing and they can be pretty competitive with one another. Luckily they are both neutered now so hopefully that will tame them a bit.

The calming collars and spray seemed to do alright. I did try the treats and the first two days of getting it to them they seemed MORE hyper AFTER the treat. Anybody ever use these?

The behavioralist did suggest that we might have to look at putting Corgi Max on prescribed meds if his anxiety to loud noises doesn't stop. Anybody have any experience with this?

Yesterday my son was working on his homework and pulled out the printer paper try, it made a small quick high pitched noise and Max went crazy!

I have been watching Dog Whispered as well, and using some of his techniques to take the focus off, I am thinking about submitting my story :)
