HELP HELP HELP!
Mother of my 3 1/2 year old son is under investigation by OCS and is being placed in a mandatory rehab facility, lockdown, and taking the kids there with her. I had no idea she was addicted to drugs. We were not married. I lived in another city until recently, so, I had no idea she was even being investigated. I am not on the birth certificate. I dont want my son to live with her for the next 6 to 12 months in a rehab facility. I want custody. OCS says if she VOLUNTARILY lets me have him, its no problem, but because I am not on birth certificate, if she says no, I need to get a lawyer.
What I dont understand is if OCS (office of child protective services) is SUPPOSEDLY looking out for the best interest of the CHILD!!!!!!!!!!! Then how can they not see it would be better for him to be with his own flesh and blood father than in lockdown for next 6 months to a year in a freaking rehab facility with a bunch a drug addicts!!! This is making me crazy! HELP HELP HELP!
