Can I just move us out?

I went to a lawyer and had the paperwork done to file for a separation. We have been married for 20 years, have a grown child and a 13 year old.
He is refusing to sign the papers, and has threatened to go after me for abandonment if I move my daughter and myself out. but... He keeps telling me to leave.
What do I do. His mouth is so mean. I have learned to just not talk because it wont do me any good, it just becomes an argument. I have a place to go, I have a job to support my daughter and myself, but I am afraid if I he will try to get me for abandonment. I am so lost. I don't want to be here anymore, cant afford the lawyer, and don't want to sit her while he decides when he wants to see a lawyer because he doesn't want it to ruin his vacation in late september. What can I do? :confused:
