What do you do when they always threatened to move

What are you supposed to do with a n older child coming of age that threatens to move in with stbx everytime he doesn't get his way? STBX and I have decided not to give him a choice since it is his senior year and he should stay here where he grew up. He is angry at me b/c he thinks I didn't do enough to save this marriage and he idolizes my husband so he would naturally go with him. I don't really have a problem with that since he's going off to college soon but still I'm a teacher, I know the effect divorce has on kids especially when parents give the kids too much power in these decisions. It will do him no long term good for him to be rude to me and the first time I raise my voice- I'm moving out.

What is the best way to deal with this type of situation (we have not filed yet, but the kids all know. we are doing it next week)
