I've been married for 25 years and my husband has just informed me that he is in love with someone else and our marriage is over. Of course he wants to use the same atty to save money but I have always heard this is a bad idea. We have no children and I have been out of work for about 8 years, before these 8 years I've always worked. With the economy the way it is I'm really worried that I won't be able to support myself. My friends are telling me to get a really good atty in another county but I also have a friend that tells me to be sure and get an atty in my county, especially if my case is one that might have to go before a judge. I'm waiting on my husband to make the first move as far as legal action. I'm wondering if I have a chance at getting spousal support? I don't want a divorce and I feel it't a huge mistake, but I realize he thinks this is whats best for him. ANY ADVISE?
