Ammending filed divorce papers ?

As many know, I have posted several times with questions as my divorce is filed, but not proceding. I am in MD with my 2 daughters by my stbx. He is in GA & is the military member. I would like to ammend the divorce papers to add in the retirement payments that I'd be entitled to. If I don't add it in, I am reading I may out of luck to ever get it. With adding the ammendment to the file, can I mail it to the clerk in GA that I filed with originally or will she need to see me in person in order to add it in to the file. My other question is this. Can I send a letter to the judge that I know would be the judge for our case...about temporary support (while my stbx dodges the divorce & support as long as he can)? I want to do this from MD & not have to go back to GA if I can avoid it.
