Can he get alimony?

My "husband" has not been able to hold a job in about 5 years, has made no attempt to find a job, does nothing but watch tv and go to the bar, he doesn't do any housework, and he does drugs, (reasons also I want out of the marriage, along with being verbally abusive). He claims if I take him to court for a divorce, he'll take me for alimony, because his lifestyle would change so much, (he wouldn't be able to use my money to pay for his bad habits anymore). Would they really grant this too him?
