Off the books/credit cards

Hi all..just a bit of my background. I left my husband after a year into our marriage he decided he didn't want a family. I sat with him through counseling, tried talking and supporting but to no avail. I moved out in December ready to start a new life and move forward. Since I had nothing and the condo was his, I needed to take 4K out of our 5K joint account - which he knew about to get my apt. started. My name is not on his mortgage but I did pay into the payments for the year and a half we were married. I served him with divorce paperwork and he has now gotten a lawyer and I am waiting to see what his "position" is. My fear is he is going to try and get that 4K back and probably some credit card debt on to my lap - although our credit cards were our own, not joint. Other issue is his job is an off the books job. Depending where he goes, I may order a forensic audit.
Anyone have an words of wisdom or tips/suggestions? Am I screwed?
