My ex and I have been divorced for 6 years. I have full physical custody of the children (four girls) and we have joint legal. Before we were divorced he did not see the kids and even went as far as not having any communication at all with them for 7-8 months. After the divorce the same thing, he would see them when he felt like it and then would call a few days before wanting to see them and I let him do this. One time he called and asked for them on short notice and I told him that I couldn't do it because we were in the middle of moving (about a mile from our current home at that time)and all the kids belongins were in boxes and with the short notice I just couldn't do it. At this time (2006) he wanted a parenting time order put in place. Silly me, I thought he was going to follow it. He NEVER has. He has not had the kids over night since 2006 but does come and visit them (no overnights) two or three times a year, does not have them every other weekend, holiday, father's day etc. This man has become verbally abusive with the children on a couple of occasions in person and also over the phone. My questions is how to you get supervised visitation? I am not really fearful of him becoming physical but he is extremely verbal and mentally abusive. On a more recent visit with the kids he had such a "fit" my children demanded to be dropped off at my work. He just recently went as far as to tell our oldest daughter that she is a piece of s**t, immature, to f*** off, she knows nothing, etc. I could go on and on but won't because it is just heart breaking to even think that someone could treat their kids this way. The kids involved are now 17, 15, 13, and 12. Please help. We live in Michigan.
