Yes, I'm divorced...but I have a concern...
      08/01/11 02:42 PM

Been divorced since July 15th. Was separated for 9 months before that. This entire time my X has been living in a 2 story house on-base/3 bdrm's/3 btrm/enclosed 1-car garage. Not once since I moved out with our children has he had the children there! I do not understand how he can keep holding on to the house. I have talked to one of his 'higher-ups' and the housing dept. a while back to discuss this. In November, he will be deploying again for a year. What then? The house sits empty for a divorced man who never has his children visit there? Ok...right, why should I bother with this? The reason is this...I am aware of what it is like for a family with children to live in a hotel room while waiting for housing. It is agrivating to me knowing that a family of 4 or 5 could be living in that home....but my X is still living there. I just can't figure it out. Anyone know? Also, a little background. When I moved out & he came back from his last deployment, he immediately moved in an Army buddy, his gf & their child(yup, taking over the children's rooms and their beds)! I cannot be sure if these people still live in the house, but I also reported this to the housing dept. & his higher-up. What came of my calls? Nothing...and apparently the X is partying like it's 1999 in the house since the divorce per his FB page, which I'm sure the neighbors just love. Anyway..I was sure they were going to put him in the barracks because of the children never visiting him there. I'm just curious as to why he gets to stay in the house as long as he has...it makes no sense. Does anyone know what will happen now that the divorce is finalized?
