Child Support Enforcements?

Hello. First time posting but I'm hoping someone has some advice.
My ex currently owes $630 dollars in back support which about 5 weeks behind. Our case is managed through the MA Child Services Enforcement agency so they are calculating the arrearage. The order is also supposed to be garnishing his wages weekly but to be honest nothing has been paid. I also have not heard from him in over a week so I'm not sure if he is even still employed.
The CSE agency informed me that once he is in arrears $500 and there has been 4 weeks of non-payment they will start to take action to collect. Does anyone have any knowledge on what those enforcements would be? Does anyone has any experience particularly with the MA CSE agency?
I do depend on the CS for my children so his non-payment is definitely affecting our lives at the moment especially with Christmas around the corner. It would be nice to be able to see into the future at this point to see if he will in fact be reprimanded for non-payment and they will some how collect the money owed. I have read that they can put a levy on his bank account and withdrawal funds. Is such an action realistic? Suspending his license or sending him a threatening letter won't really get him to act unfortunately.
