OT.. school problem

Would you be upset if you found out that the your child's school lost all water at about 8:30 in the the morning and had no running water until after lunch (to flush the toilets) and no water fountains all day. No mention of water bottles available to the kids (at least in the upper grades). The kids are instructed to bring their own bottled water from home tomorrow, there will be some bottled water available at school tomorrow (no mention of cost).

No letter was sent home from school but at 7:30pm the school district did an antimated call with generalized info of no water from early morning and with a boil alert in effect for the kids to bring bottled water from home.

Ages: All of the students in the district. All 3 buildings (elementary, middle, and high) are very close to each other so all were affected.

When YS15 tld me about it when I picked him up at 5:30pm from afterschool activity, I thought he misunderstood because if the schools had no water why didn't they send the kids home? Why did the coach allow the kids to practice afterschool without water available to them? According to YS15, if you were not at practice today you can't compete tomorrow.

Calling the school district in the morning.
