Process for filing for Divorce

Hi all: Looking for some info here. Recently moved to SC and in order to file for divorce, must I be a resident for 3 months (if we both are) if only one person is resident, must I wait one year?

Also, we have been living separately since November 2005...is other person allowed to date? I'm being told that you can only you can't cohabitate.

Please assist...would like to find out if what he says is true?
