He can make the payments, as I had never worked. He always made them. He wants 3 years use and occupancy, which I have agreed upon. In a perfect world, it would be nice to get my part of the equity now, but I do not want to force him into a situation that would make his payment too high. It is already a struggle. What I am going to do, is give the 3 years. My name is NOT on the current mortgage, nor will it be when he refinances, but it IS on the deed. Could my credit still be damaged? I know that when he pays me at the end of the 3 years of use, I will have my name removed, just not sure if it is wise to remove now,(maybe with a notarized letter stating what he will pay me and by when?) or If I should leave it on.
