I'm here in iowa living with my wife of 3 years. She has put everything in her name and has been pretty controling. She and I have a house together. But the name on the title is hers. I have my name as the grantor on the deed. If I file for a divorce to her, would I still be responsible for the payments on the house? Or is there another way that I can get out of the payments all together? She has children from a previous marriage. Would I be liable for payments at all?

It would depend. Whomever was awarded the house would most likely have to make the payments and have to refinance in their name only. Regardless of whose name it is in, you are entitled as her spouse to half of its value.
