I've filed a motion (pro se) for contempt of court against my ex subsequent to her unilateral decision that I may no longer see my 13 yr old daughter. She does this without just cause nor with any legal process. The order that grants me visitation is still in force - I didn't read anything about an expiration date. I've dealt with this repeatedly throughout the years and I'm sick of it. This new move on my part follows the ex's recent declaration that my daughter has voiced suicidal ideations, it's all my fault and I can no longer see her now.
My question: if the judge finds for me, besides making clear that I may continue to see my daughter per the provisions of the court order, what, if any, penalty does my ex incur? A fine? Time in the slammer? A slap on the wrist? A scolding? WTF?
